About Dooars
Dooars means doors, in Bengali, Assamese, Kamtapuri and Maghai languages. There are 18 passages or gateways between Bhutan the hills in Bhutan and the plains in India. This region in about 30 Km (19 miles) wide and stretchy over about 350 Km (220 miles) from the Teesta river in West Bengal to the Dhansini River in Udalgiri District of Assam.
